RESIN INJECTION
Resin injection is a repair technique employed to waterproof and repair cracks, voids and defects in concrete and masonry structures.
Shrinkage and movement in concrete structures may lead to water ingress, structural instability, corrosion and damage to steel reinforcement, and in some cases collapse.
Modern industrial chemistry has developed a range of single and multi component resins that can be utilized in the repair of tunnels, reservoirs, basements, pipelines, lift & escalator pits, structural concrete slabs and elements.
Using a range of electric and air driven pumps the injection pressure can be controlled to deliver controlled amounts of resin or cement based materials to a variety of voids, fishers, and cracks.
Larsen Contracts have many years in-field experience and have developed methodology in many different applications to resolve a variety of problems : leaking basements, tunnels, manholes, lift pits, culverts, reservoirs and bridges.
The injection of high strength and flexible resins have been used to repair structural elements by stopping and preventing the ingress of substances that cause decay in concrete such as deicing salts on road bridges, aggressive chemicals in chemical and pharma production and most commonly carbon dioxide that causes carbonation in reinforcing steel in insitu concrete structures. Larsen offer :
- Confined space trained operatives
- Underwater injection systems
- Multi component polyurethane & acrylic techniques
- Epoxy resins
- Hydrophlic waterproofing resins
- Cement modified injection products
- Cement pressure grouting
- Curtain injection
Our specialist teams are trained and equipped to seal porous concrete, fill voids and carry out crack repairs, even operating in confined spaces. We also offer underwater grouting. The repair services we offer can be used on any size of project, from bridges, tunnels and car parks sewers and canals
